Israel Could Attack Iran at Any Moment: U.S. Media Claims

Washington: U.S. media has claimed that Israel could launch an attack on Iran at any moment.

According to a report, Israel has already informed the United States in advance about a possible strike on Iran. Israeli officials have told the U.S. that Israel is fully prepared for an operation inside Iran.

The report adds that in response to an Israeli strike, Iran may target U.S. sites in Iraq. As a precaution, the U.S. has advised some of its citizens in the Middle East to leave immediately.

Additionally, the United States has approved the voluntary evacuation of its non-diplomatic staff from the Middle East. The Pentagon has also given military families the option to leave the region voluntarily.

In light of growing Iran-Israel tensions, the U.S. Secretary of Defense has also authorized the voluntary departure of non-essential personnel from the region. A U.S. official stated that the safety and security of troops and their families remains a top priority.

Iran’s Warning

Furthermore, Iran has warned the United States that if a conflict breaks out, it will target all U.S. military bases present in the region.

The Iranian Defense Minister said that while he hopes the situation does not escalate and that negotiations yield positive outcomes, if war is imposed on Iran, the enemy will suffer far greater losses than Iran.

Efforts Toward Iran-U.S. Nuclear Deal

Iran and the United States are currently engaged in intense diplomatic tensions over uranium enrichment. Since April, the two sides have held five rounds of talks to replace the 2015 nuclear deal with a new agreement.

The sixth round of nuclear negotiations between Iran and the U.S. is expected to take place this Sunday in Muscat.
