Kuala Lumpur – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that the military-to-military ceasefire between Pakistan and India is functioning well, but the Indian political leadership is unable to accept it.
While addressing a ceremony in Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur, Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan has taken off economically despite difficult conditions, and joining the G20 is now our target.
He stated that India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty, which was a strange move, but India cannot stop or divert Pakistan’s water. Pakistan strongly responded to India’s actions by closing airspace for Indian airlines over the treaty issue. He added that India is now facing global isolation.
The Deputy PM further stated that in a National Security Committee meeting, it was decided to give a strong response to India. He claimed that Pakistan’s air force bravely shot down six Indian jets, including four Rafale aircraft. He also alleged that India intentionally dropped two missiles in a Sikh-populated area, but India’s narrative failed to gain international recognition.
Dar revealed that at 8:15 AM, the US Secretary of State called, saying India wanted a ceasefire. He said, “India started the war and also requested to end it.” Although the military-to-military ceasefire is working, the Indian political leadership is struggling to accept it. He added that both armies have changed their positions, and Pakistan’s missile program is its shield.
He concluded by criticizing those who went to Kabul for tea and opened the borders for terrorists, saying that it has caused harm
